Support for the BerenbergKids Foundation

The BerenbergKids Foundation supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, associations, and foundations throughout Germany that are committed to disadvantaged children and adolescents. As a grant provider, it continuously funds projects in the areas of health, education, culture, and sports. Applicant institutions based in Germany may apply for funding at any time, provided their initiatives aim to enable young people in precarious life situations—such as due to child poverty, trauma, illness, or difficult family circumstances—to grow up carefree and participate fully in society. The focus is on measures that create sustainable impulses for physical, mental, and social well-being.

At the core of the funding concept is the empowerment of children and adolescents through diverse educational, health, and cultural offerings as well as sporting activities. Projects that rarely receive public attention and urgently require financial support to effectively contribute to equal opportunities are funded. The BerenbergKids Foundation places great importance on needs-based, viable concepts and accompanies implementation with advice from experienced experts. Due to the continuous possibility of submitting applications, there are no fixed deadlines, allowing initiatives to apply for grants at any time and plan long-term. This funding instrument is explicitly aimed at non-profit actors who wish to open up new perspectives for young people in difficult life situations.
