Description
The Dr. Wolfgang and Sigrid Berner Foundation provides ongoing support to non-profit organizations, public institutions, and associations in Hesse that implement projects for sick, disabled, or otherwise disadvantaged children and youth in Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding area. Initiatives that accompany educational pathways, strengthen social participation, and make high-quality offerings in the fields of education, culture, and health accessible are funded. The foundation both initiates its own projects and provides financial resources and professional support for external endeavors. Special attention is given to concepts with a convincing project idea and professional accompanying planning that generate sustainable benefits for the target group.
Applications can be submitted continuously and independently of the annual cycle. A prerequisite is that the project is carried out in Frankfurt am Main or the immediate vicinity and is clearly aimed at sick, disabled, or otherwise disadvantaged children and youth. Applications are evaluated based on clear criteria: in addition to innovative project design and long-term benefits for the target group, a careful planning and implementation strategy is essential. The foundation places importance not only on providing financial resources but also on achieving sustainable impact through expertise, network contacts, and commitment. Interested organizations receive partnership-based support from the Berner Foundation to maximize the impact of the funded measures and to strengthen educational, cultural, and health offerings for disadvantaged young people in the long term.
