Description
The Berthold Leibinger Foundation supports nonprofit, charitable as well as church and public institutions nationwide with grants in the fields of culture, science, research & innovation, media, and social affairs. The aim is to promote innovative research and educational projects, shape a vibrant cultural landscape, and strengthen social engagement. Special attention is given to initiatives that link multiple funding areas of the foundation or open up new target groups. Applications can be submitted continuously, thus offering the opportunity to respond flexibly to current developments and collaborations. This continuous funding framework generates impulses for creative approaches in art, science, and social work as well as sustainable effects in both local and supraregional projects.
Only organizations with nonprofit status as well as charitable or church sponsors that can provide a current tax exemption certificate are eligible as needed. A complete application essentially includes a brief description of the project (maximum three DIN A4 pages), precise objectives, an overview of co-funders, a cost and financing plan, a timeline, and the relation to the foundation’s focal areas. In addition, bank details (IBAN & BIC) and proof of nonprofit status must be attached. An initial review takes place within six to eight weeks after receipt of the documents. Preliminary inquiries can be clarified by phone to ensure prompt processing.
