Description
The funding program for the promotion of vocational education in the Free State of Saxony supports training and further education projects in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), educational institutions, chambers, as well as legal entities and individuals. It is aimed at all those who conclude training contracts or carry out vocational training measures such as cooperative training, inter-company instruction, master craftsman preparation, and professional development. The goal is to train skilled workers in Saxony in a needs-oriented manner and to strengthen regional cooperation between companies and inter-company vocational training centers. The grant is provided as a fixed-amount subsidy of 30 euros per participant day and particularly rewards trainers who send trainees to cooperative partners or offer inter-company programs.
For funding, an application must be submitted via the SAB funding portal – applications can be submitted continuously since August 13, 2025. Proof is provided by application documents in accordance with the amendment guideline, a participant list, and, if applicable, supplementary forms for cooperative training. Prerequisites include, among others, the conclusion of a valid training contract or the responsibility of a chamber or professional association. The SAB, as the central funding bank of the Free State of Saxony, reviews and approves the applications and accompanies the entire grant process. This program thus offers small and medium-sized enterprises as well as educational institutions an uncomplicated way to finance the training and further education of skilled workers and to secure skilled labor potential in the Free State of Saxony in the long term.
