Description
In Vorarlberg, the state supports private providers of toddler and kindergarten groups through a subsidy for the morning care of five-year-old children. The aim of this funding is to create a financial compensation as soon as the fee for the morning care of five-year-olds is reduced by a defined amount. Eligible to apply are interest groups, other associations, companies, as well as non-profit organizations that operate corresponding early childhood education and care facilities. The funding applies from January 1, 2019, and is granted continuously until the available funding volume is exhausted. In doing so, the state of Vorarlberg contributes to strengthening early childhood education and facilitates families' access to high-quality care services.
A prerequisite for the grant is proof of a concluded agreement on the reduced parental contributions for the morning care of five-year-old children. Applications can be submitted continuously as long as funds are available. In addition to operating an early childhood education and care facility with toddler and kindergarten groups, the fee reduction by the specified amount is decisive for the entitlement to funding. An internal control by the responsible department ensures that the funds are used appropriately and that the agreed quality standards in care are maintained.
