Funding of the Preußisch Ströhen Citizens' Foundation

The Bürgerstiftung Preußisch Ströhen supports a wide range of initiatives in North Rhine-Westphalia with continuously available funding grants that contribute to strengthening and enhancing the attractiveness of rural areas. Eligible for funding are private individuals, interest groups, associations, as well as non-profit organizations whose projects are rooted in Pr. Ströhen and serve village development, community, culture, mobility, or environmental/nature conservation. Special focus areas include climate-friendly mobility, locally organized events, environmental and nature conservation measures, as well as cultural initiatives that foster a sense of community among families, seniors, and volunteers. The foundation consistently relies on collaborative support from experts and ensures sustainable impact in rural areas.

Applications can be submitted at any time and require that the project demonstrably benefits and is implemented in the locality of Pr. Ströhen. Selection criteria consider, in addition to thematic relevance, social cohesion and the local rootedness of the applicants. Examples of funded projects include the provision of a rickshaw for barrier-free mobility, creative planting campaigns for blooming village greenery, or interactive cultural formats such as the “Running Dinner.” Through its uncomplicated funding approach, the foundation encourages initiatives to realize new ideas and enrich village life in the long term. Interested groups and individuals thus receive support for innovative projects that strengthen community spirit and sustainably enhance the quality of life in Pr. Ströhen.
