Funding of the Citizens' Foundation Winsen (Luhe) – Project Funding (New Project Idea)

The Citizens' Foundation Winsen (Luhe) provides uncomplicated grants for non-profit projects in Winsen and its districts. Initiatives from schools, kindergartens, clubs, as well as other educational and social institutions that strengthen the common good and promote social cohesion locally are supported. Voluntary and honorary commitment, personal initiative, and the exemplary character of the measure play a central role. Cultural projects, programs for children and youth, initiatives to promote democracy, building and monument preservation, as well as training and further education projects are among the possible funding areas, alongside social, media, and infrastructural measures. Evaluation is based on clear criteria: avoidance of purely entertaining events, voluntary engagement, promotion of personal initiative, and a visibly positive societal impact. The Citizens' Foundation does not require extensive bureaucracy but quickly assesses the eligibility of each idea for funding. An informal project inquiry submitted by email is the only prerequisite to start the process – a detailed concept or supporting documents are submitted by interested parties upon positive approval. This procedure enables local organizations to receive support quickly and easily and to jointly set sustainable impulses for education, culture, social affairs, and infrastructure together with the Citizens' Foundation Winsen (Luhe).
