Description

The Carl-Hans Graf von Hardenberg Foundation supports children’s, youth, and educational projects in Märkisch-Oderland as well as in neighboring districts – including cross-border initiatives across the Oder River. Priority is given to initiatives with a preventive, educational, cultural, or sporting focus that teach young people social responsibility, mutual respect, and civic engagement. The emphasis is on projects in the areas of language promotion, history, science, art, sports, and culture that contribute to strengthening personal skills and broadening educational horizons. The Foundation places special importance on non-profit organizations that create sustainable structures and achieve long-term impact.

Eligible to apply are private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions based within the funding region. A prerequisite is that the project has a supportive, preventive, or educational character for children, adolescents, and young adults. Detailed information on the project concept, objectives, financing plan, as well as proof of bank details and a public relations concept are required. Applicants commit to submitting a final report including the use of funds and evidence of effectiveness. Complete applications may be submitted until March 1 of the current year. Existing document templates facilitate the preparation of the application, enabling projects to be planned and implemented transparently.
