Description

Since the year 2000, the Carl and Grete Schröder Foundation has been supporting the work of the Bremen State Association of the German Multiple Sclerosis Society (DMSG) in a variety of ways. Non-profit organizations and private individuals alike benefit from a permanently preserved foundation capital, the proceeds of which are specifically invested in projects related to health, social cohesion, and the promotion of children and youth. The focus is on strengthening self-help and social interaction: a house provided by the foundation serves as a central contact point for people with multiple sclerosis and those interested. This meeting and self-help center significantly contributes to promoting civic engagement and democratic participation in Bremen.

A spacious hall and a group room are available for rent for self-help groups, counseling services, and events. The continuous awarding of grants also enables financial support for initiatives that strengthen community togetherness and the care of affected individuals. Applications for room rental or project funding can be submitted informally at any time to the office of the Bremen State Association of the DMSG. Interested groups receive information on conditions, availability, and terms directly from the state association. In this way, the foundation makes a significant contribution to the quality of life of people with multiple sclerosis and promotes long-term social networking in the Bremen region.
