Description

Since its founding in 2000, the Christian Alexander Foundation for Youth Promotion has supported impactful initiatives by young people in Guben, the neighboring Gubin (Poland), and surrounding communities. With the aim of increasing educational opportunities and establishing cultural, sports, and leisure activities, the foundation funds projects that advance the integration of marginalized social groups and strengthen intercultural exchange. The focus is on both vocational and further training measures as well as innovative concepts in the fields of media, democracy education, and civic engagement. The continuous provision of grants enables youth groups, clubs, and non-profit organizations to implement sustainable offerings and concretely improve the quality of life for young people in the region.

Eligible for funding are private individuals, interest groups, public institutions, and clubs with a non-profit purpose that realize the foundation’s objectives through activities in Guben, Gubin, or the adjacent areas. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. In addition to the formal application for financial support, required documents include an overview of external funding already applied for, an income and expenditure plan for the application year, statutes, an excerpt from the register of associations, proof of non-profit status, as well as a usage agreement or lease contract. By combining professional expertise and financial support, the Christian Alexander Foundation creates climate-friendly learning spaces, inclusive sports facilities, and meeting places where young people can experiment as active shapers of their future.
