Description
The DiakonieStiftungUlm supports diaconal projects and institutions of the Protestant Unified Church Community of Ulm with financial grants and ideological support. The focus is on initiatives for poverty alleviation, family support, as well as counseling and assistance for people in precarious life situations, including seniors, families, refugees, and migrants. Services in the areas of care, low-threshold counseling, or specialized projects such as telephone counseling and violence prevention also benefit from the funding. Since its founding on Reformation Day 2008, the foundation has built up more than €500,000 in capital and has so far distributed over €80,000 for diverse diaconal initiatives. This enables urgently needed social services to be implemented directly on site in Ulm and sustainably strengthened.
Funding is provided to non-profit organizations and public institutions based in Ulm that pursue a poverty-oriented or family-supportive project approach and carry out diaconal activities within the Protestant Unified Church Community. Applications for funding can be submitted continuously, without fixed deadlines or administrative fees: every donated euro flows entirely into project work. Interested project sponsors review the funding requirements to determine whether their projects comply with the funding guidelines and submit a project description with a cost plan. DiakonieStiftungUlm reviews the applications promptly and decides based on the diaconal objectives and the impact located in Ulm. This creates a continuous funding cycle that makes social responsibility visible and realizes concrete support services.
