Description
The funding program supports municipalities, village and city development associations, parishes, as well as legal entities and individuals in Upper Austria in the renewal, further development, and preservation of village and urban spaces. As a grant for planning, renovation, and design measures, it provides financial resources for public institutions, interest groups, non-profit organizations, businesses, and private individuals. A prerequisite for support is an already established village or city development association with active citizen participation, membership in the state program, as well as ongoing support by the office for village and city development of the State of Upper Austria or the Regional Management Upper Austria GmbH. Legal approvals, project conformity with the planning objectives, sustainable orientation, as well as economical and prudent management ensure funding success. Small businesses with up to nine full-time employees and up to three business locations are also eligible applicants.
Eligible expenses include public relations and project management, moderation and project support, village and city development concepts including planning costs, start-up assistance for association structures, design of street spaces, paths and squares, landscape and green space design, revitalization of town centers, as well as renovation of historically valuable buildings. The evaluation is based on sustainability aspects, alignment with objectives, cost-effectiveness, and activation of local stakeholders. The continuous application possibility allows flexible project implementations, whereby original invoices and payment receipts must be submitted for reimbursement after completion of the measures. With this financial stimulus, municipalities and associations make a significant contribution to strengthening the economic, residential, recreational, cultural, and social environment in Upper Austria.
