Funding of the Dr. Axe Foundation (Foundation Purposes)

The Dr. Axe Foundation offers continuous grant funding to non-profit initiatives and individuals throughout Germany for projects in the fields of animal welfare and animal ethics, arts and culture, victim support, elderly care, as well as science and research. Funding is provided, among other things, for the operation of animal sanctuaries, the development of teaching materials on animal ethics, exhibitions featuring works of the Düsseldorf School of Painting, direct assistance for victims of violence, and measures to promote the participation of elderly people in social life. Additionally, the foundation supports universities with the acquisition of research equipment, awards doctoral scholarships, and assists hospitals in procuring medical devices and instruments. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements for a successful application include the non-profit or charitable orientation of the project, proof of non-profit status or charitable purpose, as well as a comprehensive project description with a detailed cost and financing plan. During the evaluation, the jury places particular emphasis on alignment with the foundation’s objectives, sustainability and impact of the planned measures, and the financing needs including own contributions. Eligible for funding are private individuals, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public entities. With its broad-ranging support, the Dr. Axe Foundation aims to provide sustainable impetus in animal welfare, culture, social affairs, and science, offering committed actors diverse opportunities to realize their projects.
