Funding of the Dr. Franz-Josef Kreuels Foundation

The Dr. Franz-Josef Kreuels Foundation supports educational initiatives and young high achievers nationwide through a flexible grant program. The focus is on high-performing apprentices and students with proven commitment in the social or educational sector, as well as small private educational providers and socio-educational institutions. A prerequisite for funding is enrollment or active training within Germany, demonstrated by good academic or school performance and evidence of social engagement. Both individual scholarships and project-related material costs and subsidies for educational staff are funded to create sustainable learning and meeting spaces. Continuous application submissions enable tailored support without fixed deadlines.

With the aim of strengthening education, personal development, and international understanding, the jury evaluates not only academic excellence but especially social initiative and contributions to international understanding. Previously realized funding priorities include, among others, targeted seminars, youth and student facilities with intercultural exchange, as well as socio-educational model projects. Through this broadly based awarding practice, individual potentials are promoted and future-oriented networks are strengthened. Interested institutions and individuals thus have the opportunity to implement innovative educational approaches and set sustainable impulses for social cohesion.
