Description

The funding provided by the Durlach Citizens' Foundation for Culture and History is aimed at non-profit projects based in or clearly related to Durlach that are dedicated to the themes of culture and history. In particular, initiatives that are not supported by the Karlsruhe city administration but are in the interest of the Durlach population are supported. As a legally recognized foundation under civil law, it operates transparently and is supervised by the Karlsruhe Regional Council. Supported by the associations “Die Orgelfabrik – Kultur in Durlach” and the “Freundeskreis Pfinzgaumuseum – Historischer Verein Durlach,” the foundation aims to encourage citizens, businesses, associations, and clubs to engage in cultural commitment locally.

Grants are awarded in the form of subsidies, financed exclusively from foundation income as well as donations and event proceeds. The foundation capital remains untouched to ensure continuous project funding in the long term. Applications can be submitted at any time, provided the projects serve non-profit purposes and are not already supported by the city of Karlsruhe. This funding strengthens initiatives that enrich the cultural life in Durlach and promote the shared responsibility of its citizens. Interested organizations and initiative groups thus have the opportunity to sustainably realize local art and history projects and further develop regional identity.
