Description

Since 1996, the Edith-Fröhnert Foundation has been supporting projects specifically dedicated to assisting children, adolescents, and young adults in Lübeck. The foundation supports initiatives in the fields of education, culture, youth welfare, sports, vocational and further training, as well as welfare and charitable purposes. Project proposals from non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals come into focus, provided they choose Lübeck as the center of implementation. With a clearly defined grant of up to €10,000, the foundation creates incentives to realize innovative and sustainable ideas that promote the personal and social development of young people. The central intention is to facilitate access to educational and leisure opportunities in order to enhance the quality of life in the Hanseatic city.

The funding places special emphasis on projects that strengthen social cohesion and support voluntary work in youth services. Personnel cost subsidies may deliberately not be applied for, in order to favor the direct provision of services. Applications are to be submitted exclusively via the prescribed form, accompanied by detailed documents such as project description, investment and financing plan, as well as corresponding proof of non-profit status. Additionally, for individual applications, documents such as medical certificates and income statements must be submitted to transparently demonstrate the need for assistance. These formal requirements underscore the foundation’s commitment to using its funds responsibly and securing projects sustainably.

The funding procedure is characterized by a continuous application possibility, allowing interested parties to submit their projects at any time. The foundation places particular importance on the substantive compliance with the funding guidelines as well as the completeness of the submitted documents. This transparent allocation ensures that funds flow exclusively in a targeted manner toward the realization of initiatives that especially benefit children, adolescents, and young adults. Furthermore, it is expected that local companies will be involved in the implementation of the projects to also support economic development in Lübeck. Overall, the Edith-Fröhnert Foundation’s funding offers an attractive opportunity to advance social projects with sustainable added value and thus make a significant contribution to the social integration and promotion of young people.
