Description
The Cultural Foundation of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau supports non-profit initiatives from Hesse with its program “Funding Projects for Cultural Promotion” that implement innovative cultural projects and intensify the dialogue between Christian faith and social life. Projects from church and non-church organizations, associations, and sponsors are funded, which, through creative collaboration, reach people, enable them to develop their potential, and strengthen democratic cohesion. A sponsor’s own contribution must be ensured, and applications are only evaluated before the project begins. Regional priorities within the EKHN area are desired, as are cooperative partnerships between church and civil society actors.
For a successful application, the completed application form, a detailed cost and financial plan, and a meaningful project description must be submitted. The decision is based on alignment with the foundation’s purpose, assurance of own funds, the planned impact, and compliance with formal requirements. Project ideas can be submitted in writing by post or email until March 4, 2026. Within two months after completion, a usage report including a factual report, financial overview, and optionally an image and press review must be submitted. The EKHN Foundation supports initiatives that make cultural diversity tangible and sustainably promote interreligious and intercultural exchange in the Hesse region.
