Funding of the Elisabeth Eifert Foundation

Since its founding, the Elisabeth Eifert Foundation has been supporting non-profit projects in Eckernförde, thereby providing an important impetus to improve the quality of life in Schleswig-Holstein. The foundation aims to provide financial resources for the realization of diverse initiatives in the fields of education, art, culture, environmental and monument protection, as well as the social sector. At the same time, it strengthens the sense of local identity and supports initiatives in youth and elderly care, public health, and sports. The foundation’s commitment is based on the approach of promoting community spirit and social cohesion locally, while setting sustainable, positive impulses.

Funding is exclusively granted to projects of non-profit organizations active in various sectors. In addition to supporting measures for building and monument preservation as well as education and vocational training, projects in the areas of social cohesion, development cooperation, children and youth, sports, environmental, nature and climate protection, and animal welfare are also considered. Furthermore, initiatives in the fields of infrastructure, urban development, labor & social affairs, agriculture & rural development, culture and media, as well as energy efficiency may receive funding. As a form of support, the grant is provided as a one-time or regular financial contribution, enabling the respective organization to implement its projects with greater momentum and flexibility.

The foundation pursues an inclusive funding approach aimed at laying the groundwork for sustainable development and the preservation of local identities through targeted investments in the non-profit sector. Thus, not only is access to cultural and educational offerings improved, but the preservation of historic buildings and monuments is also actively supported.
