Description
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia offers a grant to strengthen and further develop family care services, with the aim of establishing a statewide, comprehensive, qualified care network. Funding is provided to associations of independent welfare organizations and affiliated non-profit organizations that act as providers of family care services and employ a full-time, professionally qualified specialist in a management position. This measure is intended to adapt existing services to the changing life situations of families while simultaneously establishing new structures. Sustainable local networking is ensured through binding forms of cooperation with other social services. Applications can be submitted by November 1st for the following calendar year.
The funding measure describes a limited project duration of 12 months and covers personnel costs exclusively for the management position, with a maximum of one full-time position subsidized per district or independent city. Requirements include a registered office in North Rhine-Westphalia, sponsorship of a family care service, and cooperation with regional counseling centers, youth and social welfare offices, or health insurance providers. The application package must include, among other documents, the application form (Annex 1), the funding guidelines, the decree on the qualification of specialists, a template for a cooperation agreement, the ANBest-P, and the expenditure verification form. Financing is provided on a voluntary basis and must be specified annually in the budget law—ideal for organizations seeking to establish their care concept on a solid foundation.
