Description

The Erwin Fey Foundation Berlin continuously supports non-profit projects, associations, institutions, and individuals in Berlin and Brandenburg who are committed to socially disadvantaged children and youth. The focus is on measures for personality development, support during school and training phases, as well as initiatives to promote equal opportunities. Projects with a maximum duration of 24 months, which demonstrate clear planning structures, sustainable impact, and relevant objectives, are eligible for funding. Eligible applicants may apply for grants at any time; eligible expenses include personnel costs, fees, ongoing material costs, event costs, travel expenses, as well as investments and acquisitions.

Selection takes place quarterly based on the criteria of relevance for disadvantaged children and youth, sustainability, and quality of the project description. For a complete application, the completed grant application form must be submitted together with a detailed financing plan. Applications can be submitted at any time; the next review deadline is March 5, 2026. The Foundation expects meaningful project descriptions that clearly illustrate the funding purpose in the areas of personality development, school or training, and equal opportunities. Submissions must be sent by mail to the office in Berlin; submitted documents will be treated confidentially and processed in accordance with the statutory purposes of the Foundation. Through this commitment, the Erwin Fey Foundation makes a significant contribution to opening up new perspectives for young people in challenging life situations.
