Description

The Erwin Fey Foundation Berlin continuously supports innovative projects in Berlin and Brandenburg dedicated to assisting socially disadvantaged children and adolescents. The funding is aimed at both non-profit organizations and private individuals implementing projects focused on personal development, academic and vocational support, as well as the creation of equal opportunities. Through engagement in the fields of education, children and youth, vocational training, and work and social affairs, the foundation sends a clear signal for social participation and sustainable developmental impulses. Special emphasis is placed on projects that combat the acute distress of young people—regardless of nationality, social status, or religion.

The funding program is characterized by a continuous application process, allowing the submission of a compelling project concept at any time. For funding over a period of 24 months, personnel costs as well as material and travel expenses can be requested. It is essential that the submitted concept demonstrates both social relevance and sustainable impact. Evaluation criteria include, in addition to the persuasiveness of the project concept, primarily the long-term improvement of the living conditions of the supported children and adolescents. By submitting a well-founded financial plan and a fully completed grant application, it is ensured that eligible measures are presented transparently and economically.

With this funding, the foundation aims to actively effect social change and offer equal opportunities to all young people—regardless of their background. Projects implementing innovative approaches in academic and vocational training or personal development can benefit from this measure. Through this financing opportunity, the foundation encourages committed actors to engage sustainably and establish long-term structures to support disadvantaged young people. Interested parties are invited to develop a detailed and convincing funding concept that clearly outlines the planned measures, financial requirements, and achievement of the intended goals.
