Description
In the federal state of Carinthia, a public institution provides financial grants to support the education and development of kindergarten children and students with disabilities in specialized AVS support kindergartens as well as in facilities with and without boarding options. Both full-time and part-time boarding care forms are available, targeting children and adolescents who, according to § 2 para. 1 K-ChG, are considered persons with disabilities and complete their schooling up to the compulsory school age or up to the voluntary tenth school year. Furthermore, young adults up to the age of 28 can benefit from this funding opportunity. Eligible applicants must operate approved facilities under the Carinthian Childcare Act and also involve social-pedagogical centers of the state of Carinthia. The offer aims to enable individual support, strengthen equal participation opportunities in education, and promote long-term personal development.
Applications can be submitted continuously as long as the program is offered. Public providers may submit applications at any time, attaching a current specialist medical report (not older than one year) or a report from a clinical psychologist, as well as corresponding proof of income (e.g., care allowance notice, maintenance payments, family allowance, income tax assessment). Application documents therefore include the specialist medical or clinical-psychological report and the required income documents. The goal is the sustainable promotion of individual developmental processes as well as the strengthening of independence for children, students, and young adults with impairments in support kindergartens and social-pedagogical centers.
