Description
The eudim Foundation for Social Justice supports initiatives nationwide that enable older adults to age with dignity and remain active. As a grant provider, it supports non-profit organizations in the fields of social affairs, work & social issues with projects that sustainably improve housing quality, social participation, health prevention, care services, and mobility in old age. The goal is to prevent loneliness and enhance the quality of life for seniors throughout Germany. The foundation operates entirely on a voluntary basis, so almost all funding goes directly into the projects and can have a long-term impact. Funding applications are decided during consultation sessions in spring and autumn; submissions are accepted continuously by mail.
Only associations and organizations recognized as non-profit are eligible for funding, and their applications must include, in addition to a meaningful project description, a detailed investment and financing plan. Additionally, all previous project documents, a list of other requested funders with the current negotiation status, as well as the association’s statutes and the tax office’s exemption certificate must be submitted. Email or fax applications cannot be considered. The date of the postmark determines the deadline. After a positive decision, a donation receipt recognized by the tax office is expected, although there is no legal entitlement to funding. Organizations aiming to sustainably improve the lives of older people in Germany will find here a reliable point of contact for reducing isolation both digitally and analogously, as well as for innovative forms of participation and care in the senior sector.
