Description
The European Innovation Partnership "Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability," funded by the State of Saxony-Anhalt and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), targets operational groups (OG) in agriculture and forestry. These multidisciplinary alliances of farmers, scientists, companies, and other stakeholders jointly develop and test new products, processes, and technologies. The goal is a sustainable increase in productivity while conserving resources and adapting to climate change. Thematic focuses include soil and water management, biodiversity, sustainable livestock farming, efficient forestry, and better integration of producers into value chains. Funding rates range from 25% to 100% of eligible expenses depending on the project and enable the implementation of demonstration and pilot projects with exemplary character in the rural areas of Saxony-Anhalt.
Eligible to apply are OGs in the form of legal entities or partnerships based in Saxony-Anhalt, consisting of at least two independent members, at least one of whom is active in agriculture or forestry. At least 50% of the participants must have their business or residence in Saxony-Anhalt. A cooperation agreement and a detailed action plan are prerequisites. Applications are submitted in independent rounds before the start of the measure. Companies in difficulty are excluded. Eligible expenses include, among others, personnel and material costs, instruments, equipment, technical knowledge, patents and license fees, as well as the acquisition, construction, and modernization of immovable assets including machinery and equipment. The results achieved must be documented, evaluated, and published via the EIP network to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer and networking effects.
