Funding from the Witt-Lotzgesell Family Foundation – "Assistance for Crime Victims"

The Witt-Lotzgesell Family Foundation supports needy, physically injured crime victims and their relatives in Berlin through targeted grants for social and health-related measures. Applications can be submitted continuously by private individuals or non-profit organizations. A prerequisite is proof of physical injury resulting from a criminal offense as well as the applicant’s neediness. Funding is provided, among other things, for rehabilitation measures, post-crime care, legal advice, and assistance in dealing with authorities. Furthermore, the foundation supports the Caritas Women’s Shelter and the Caritas Counseling Center for Victims of Sexualized Violence to enable particularly protection-oriented services for women in emergency situations.

Through its commitment, the Witt-Lotzgesell Foundation contributes to strengthening welfare services and makes a significant contribution to the psychosocial and legal stabilization of those affected. Thanks to the flexible funding structure, various project types and individual support measures can be implemented easily. The grants offer crime victims and their families not only financial relief but also open up long-term prospects through professional support and counseling. By additionally expanding protection and counseling services at the women’s shelter, especially vulnerable target groups are specifically strengthened and access to important support networks is facilitated.
