Description
The funding program of the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs enables non-profit organizations and public institutions in Bavaria to receive financial support for family holiday centers. The aim is to carry out multi-day recreational stays for families as well as weekend events for parent and family education. Eligible expenses include accommodation and catering costs as well as fees for speakers. A prerequisite for funding is recognition as a family holiday center in Bavaria, proof of non-profit or public sponsorship, and the submission of a detailed concept for the measure. Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis. In addition to the completed application form, a concept description and a cost breakdown are required.
The program is specifically aimed at families with at least one child, including parent-child groups and single parents, who wish to take advantage of relieving recreational and pedagogically accompanied educational offerings. The Center Bavaria Family and Social Affairs (ZBFS) is responsible for administration and consultation. It coordinates the receipt of applications and provides support with professional questions regarding funding requirements, accounting, and reporting obligations. Through financial relief, it is ensured that families with lower incomes can also participate in valuable educational and recreational measures, thereby receiving sustainable impulses for cohesion and the development of parental competence.
