Description
In Burgenland, a funding initiative by the state supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in carrying out holiday care programs for children up to 14 years old during school and kindergarten holidays. The aim is to provide tangible relief for working parents, especially single parents. The measure is granted as a 100% subsidy and covers a maximum amount of €350 per group per week. For inclusive or full-day offers, the funding amount increases to up to €500 weekly. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material and supply costs, catering, as well as rental costs for suitable premises. The funds are paid out once, as soon as all required documentation has been submitted.
Only legal entities based in Burgenland that pursue non-profit and non-commercial purposes and organize the holiday care independently are eligible to apply. A prerequisite is the conclusion of a care agreement with the legal guardians. The expertise of the pedagogically responsible staff, a child-appropriate program, and socially tiered parental contributions are considered in the evaluation. For the application, among other documents, an excerpt from the Central Register of Associations, an income and expenditure statement, original invoices with payment confirmations, as well as the names and qualifications of the caregivers must be submitted. Applications must be submitted no later than six months after the completion of the holiday care.
