Description

The Globus Foundation offers nonprofit organizations nationwide the opportunity to receive funding for projects based on the principles of self-help. In particular, initiatives supporting disadvantaged children and youth are promoted. Nationally, the focus of funding lies on integration into professional life, while internationally, the emphasis is primarily on improving medical care as well as education and training. With a project duration of up to 36 months and the provision of grants, the foundation enables innovative and exemplary initiatives to achieve sustainable impact.

The foundation’s funding practice is characterized by its broad scope as well as its clear focus on nonprofit purposes in accordance with its statutes. Projects that meet the requirements for innovation and transferability and are submitted by experienced and reputable sponsors with a sound cost and financing plan are supported. Funds may only be used for approved projects, while expenses for public-law mandatory tasks or financial benefits without direct project relevance are excluded. The continuous submission option ensures flexible and needs-based project funding.

As part of the application process, project sponsors are required to submit a detailed project description, a cost and financing plan, and a brief concept. Evaluation is based on strict criteria such as statutory compliance, innovation potential, transferability, experience, and financial security of the sponsor. Through these measures, the foundation sustainably supports the development and implementation of projects that generate both local and international impact. In this way, the Globus Foundation makes a significant contribution to promoting social and educational projects that lay the foundation for self-determined future prospects.
