Description
The Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg specifically supports projects that strengthen cross-border professional exchange in the fields of agriculture, environment, and consumer protection. Funding is provided for, among other things, specialist workshops, expert excursions, conferences, meetings, as well as interactive online formats with international partners. Multiplier training sessions and multilingual publications contribute to expanding networks in the Brandenburg-Poland border region and beyond into Central and Eastern Europe. Eligible to apply are legal entities under public and private law, partnerships, as well as registered non-profit associations and NGOs with headquarters or operations in Brandenburg that require supplementary funds to cover a shortfall. A prerequisite for approval is that the project has not yet commenced, aligns substantively with the political priorities of the Ministry, and that overall financing is secured.
Funding is provided in the form of a grant with a funding rate of up to 80 percent of eligible expenses. The grant amounts to €5,000 to €15,000 and covers personnel costs, material costs, participant-related accommodation expenses, fees, as well as proportional expenses for public relations. Non-eligible costs include, among others, acquisitions of capital assets, ongoing operating costs, and refundable value-added tax. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format to the Ministry in Potsdam and can be submitted continuously until the budget funds are exhausted. Additional explanations and application forms are provided for download to ensure a smooth application process and transparent administration.
