Description

The Heiner Rust Foundation is committed in Lower Saxony to the further development of inclusive sports offerings and supports non-profit organizations, interest groups, and clubs in the field of disability sports. With initial capital of €25,000, the foundation supports projects that actively integrate people with disabilities into club life and reduce barriers in sports. The focus is on acquisitions, sports recreational activities, training measures, and equipment, as well as model projects that can serve as examples for an open, inclusive sports culture. Funding is provided in the form of grants and continuously offers clubs and initiatives the opportunity to submit applications.

Supported are clubs and associations based or active in Lower Saxony that implement concrete activities in the field of disability sports. Eligible expenses include technical aids, training and recreational offerings, advanced and continuing education for instructors, as well as the equipment of sports facilities. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of inclusive sports structures to promote people with and without disabilities together through sports. Applications can be submitted at any time; the Heiner Rust Foundation in Hanover reviews the funding requirements.
