Description
The funding program is aimed at operators of inter-company vocational training centers, state guild associations, and professional associations in North Rhine-Westphalia and offers grants for investments in the infrastructure of vocational education and training. The objective is the creation, modernization, restructuring, and equipping of workshops, teaching and administrative rooms, as well as other learning and social areas. The funding rate ranges between 65% and 85% of eligible expenses, depending on the project. In doing so, the state of NRW – together with co-financing federal agencies – supports the expansion of facilities into competence centers with supraregional significance.
Eligible for funding are public and private educational institutions that offer vocational education and training. Prerequisites for a grant include, among others, a total investment volume of at least EUR 50,000, a defined own contribution, as well as a positive statement from the Chamber of Crafts or the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the co-financing federal agency (BIBB or BAFA). Applications and notifications can be submitted continuously. For the application, the information sheet from the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs NRW (25.09.2019), the form and the guidance for notification, as well as the project survey form, must be submitted. This continuous funding opportunity strengthens forward-looking training capacities and sustainably expands local, modern learning environments.
