Description

The funding for Integrated Rural Development (ILE-RL) supports businesses, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and private actors in shaping the rural areas of Brandenburg as sustainable places to live and relax. In the fields of infrastructure, village development, and reorganization of rural land ownership, construction measures on paths, squares, and buildings are funded, as well as technical installations, plantings, and landscape maintenance. Personnel and general expenses are also eligible up to 20% of the construction costs. The grant rate ranges from 45% to 90% of eligible expenses, depending on the area and target group. For micro-enterprises providing basic services, funding starts from a minimum investment of 10,000 euros, while village development measures in financially weak municipalities can be subsidized up to 90%. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026 (reorganization of rural land ownership ongoing) to the State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture, and Land Consolidation. A positive statement from the respective LEADER region, a viable usage concept, and proof of securing overall financing are prerequisites.

ILE-RL aims to improve agricultural structures, establish equivalence of living conditions across all parts of the state, and sustainably strengthen the economic power of rural areas. Funded projects include, for example, multifunctional path infrastructures, village centers, multifunctional houses, and measures to improve the village appearance that consider ecological objectives such as climate protection and nature conservation. Within the framework of land consolidation law, reorganization measures of rural land ownership are also supported. Selection is based on uniform evaluation criteria that consider the degree of innovation, ecological impact, priority setting of the LEADER region, and implementation status in financially weak municipalities. Interested initiatives can submit detailed application documents with site plans, financing, and usage concepts via the LELF online forms.
