Description
Since 1984, the Anniversary Foundation of Sparkasse Dieburg has supported charitable initiatives within the business area of Sparkasse Darmstadt and Dieburg. With an endowment capital of five million euros, it focuses its commitment on environmental, nature, and climate protection, education, culture, sports, as well as social concerns. For the year 2025, a total of 30,000 euros is available to implement sustainable individual measures such as the installation of LED floodlight systems or photovoltaic systems. The foundation’s funding is provided as a grant and covers up to 25 percent of eligible expenses. Particular emphasis is placed on regional benefits and long-term environmental impact. Charitable associations, schools, educational institutions, and public bodies may submit applications on an ongoing basis and thus contribute to a lasting positive development in the region.
Eligible to apply are organizations with a registered office or activity in the specified business area that implement independent projects related to sustainability or the environment and can demonstrate their own contribution as well as a detailed financing plan. A maximum amount of 3,000 euros per measure is possible; funds must be drawn within 24 months of approval. Eligible costs include material and investment expenses as well as planning and installation costs; ongoing personnel and administrative costs as well as retroactive expenses are excluded. The evaluation primarily considers sustainability aspects, regional benefits, and the completeness of the financing plan. An informal written application including the project and timeline as well as a financing overview can be submitted at any time online or by email to the foundation to ensure a swift and transparent review.
