Promotion of Youth Work in Sports

Support for youth work in sports in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania assists non-profit clubs, associations, and interest groups in planning and implementing innovative projects in the children and youth sector. Funded are measures that target sport as a driver for social cohesion, democratic engagement, and cultural participation. Financial support is provided in the form of grants and can be applied for continuously. A prerequisite is membership in the State Sports Association of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as well as a clear project focus on youth work in sports. The program is aimed at children and young people as well as volunteers active in sports clubs as supervisors or organizers. For an application, the complete submission of the following documents is required: application form, detailed project description, and proof of club membership. The funding enables the realization of new movement offers, training, and educational formats that inspire young people for sports and strengthen them in their personal development.
