Description
In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, non-profit sports clubs, city and district sports associations, as well as state specialist associations, can carry out innovative, sporting, and general youth work. With funds in the thematic area of Sport, Culture & Media, holiday camps, sports and play festivals, youth education measures, or novel projects are supported. The goal is to introduce children and young people up to 26 years of age to physical activity and community, and to sustainably impart values such as tolerance, fairness, and social responsibility. Furthermore, concepts that enable participants to actively shape their youth work and practice responsible behavior are funded. As a non-repayable grant within the framework of a fixed-amount financing, subsidy rates between 66.6% and 75% of eligible expenses can be granted for measures with at least ten participants.
Eligible applicants are organizations that are regular and non-profit members of the State Sports Association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania e. V. and have an elected youth representation as well as a valid youth statute. A personal contribution of at least 10% of the total expenses is required. Participants must be up to 26 years old and reside in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania; supervising personnel are exempt from this requirement. Another prerequisite is that no other state funds are claimed for the same occasion. Applications can be submitted continuously; however, projects must be applied for by October 31 of the previous year. Eligible expenses include material administrative costs, accommodation and catering expenses, compensation for helpers and supervisors, travel and rental costs, sports equipment/materials, as well as fees and personnel expenses. Required documents include the funding guidelines, application form, fund request, proof of use, ANBest-P, and the youth statute.
