Support for Children’s and Youth Football Jena – Foundation for the Promotion of Football Youth Development

The Foundation for the Promotion of Youth Football in Jena is actively committed to the development of athletic, social, and cultural skills in Thuringia. Through ongoing grants, talented children and adolescents are supported, as well as coaches, trainers, daycare centers, and primary schools that offer football clubs. The goal is the holistic promotion of sports, education, research, science, youth welfare, and international understanding. Training courses, training materials (e.g., balls, goals), scholarships for sports equipment, and social support measures contribute to introducing young talents early to structured training and club processes and to sustainably strengthening regional structures.

To apply for a grant, an informal application from the local club, whose activity or headquarters is demonstrably located in the Jena region and surroundings, is sufficient. A valid coach or trainer license is a prerequisite for qualification applications. Eligible to apply are local interest groups, clubs, and educational institutions involved in organized youth football. Fundable are personnel costs for coaches, training and event materials, organization of training camps, as well as individual scholarships and grants. Selection is ongoing based on athletic and academic performance, club engagement, and regular participation in games and training sessions. Continuous application submissions keep funding decisions flexible and enable a needs-based development of football potential in the region.
