Funding of the Klaus-Kamp Foundation

Funding by the Klaus Kamp Foundation has been deliberately promoting culture, heritage preservation, and village design in Cuxhaven-Duhnen since 2006. Initiators are local initiatives, associations, non-profit organizations, as well as individuals who volunteer or work professionally on projects in the fields of culture & media, architecture and monument protection, regional and urban development, as well as agriculture & rural development. The foundation continuously provides sponsorship for projects with a clear connection to Duhnen – ranging from the installation and restoration of public benches and fountains to the design of cultural trails and exhibitions, as well as street design. Eligible costs include material expenses, fees for artists and service providers, printing and advertising costs, as well as on-site craftsmanship services. Evaluation criteria are local benefit, cultural and heritage contribution, project sustainability, and budget appropriateness.

Interested applicants submit a project description, cost and financing plan, proof of non-profit status or an extract from the register of associations, as well as a CV or qualification certificates. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no deadline. The foundation’s goal is to strengthen the sense of home and to permanently preserve the village image and cultural identity through targeted funding. Numerous already funded measures – such as the restoration of the Duhnen village fountain, the establishment of a cultural-historical walking tour, or support for events like exhibition series – underscore the durability and local added value of this funding program.
