Description
The funding program for small-scale and comprehensive energy-efficient renovation in Styria enables owners, co-owners, condominium owners, and tenants, as well as non-profit housing associations, municipalities, and municipal companies, to sustainably modernize existing residential buildings. Non-repayable grants of 15% of the recognized costs for individual measures (small renovation) and 30% for a comprehensive energy renovation support insulation measures on the building envelope, window replacement, connection to local/district heating, and the installation of biomass or heat pump systems. Additionally, solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, low-temperature heat distribution systems, passenger elevators, safety-related modifications, as well as extensions and floor plan changes can be supported. A minimum investment volume of EUR 3,000 and a project duration of up to 24 months form the substantive basis; applications can be submitted at any time.
The funding objective aims at a noticeable reduction in heating energy demand and an improvement in energy efficiency. A usage permit for existing buildings with a construction permit older than 30 years is a prerequisite, with exceptions applying for district heating connections and ecological measures. Renovation measures may already be completed; the application must be submitted within two years from the date of the oldest invoice. In addition to an official land register excerpt and building permit decision, construction and cost statements, energy certificates before and after renovation, proof of thermal insulation, and commercially issued invoices must be submitted. This funding effectively promotes improvements to the thermal envelope and innovative building technology systems, thereby contributing to climate protection.
