Description
The Klimek-Kayser Foundation for Humanity and Innovation supports nonprofit institutions and educational providers nationwide that implement scientifically grounded and socially impactful projects. The focus is on innovative approaches to developing new therapies and medical devices for seriously ill children and adolescents, as well as creative concepts in early childhood education, upbringing, and social prevention. From 2025 onwards, the emphasis will be on research initiatives that develop novel solutions using Artificial Intelligence. Independent funding projects and collaborations with other nonprofit organizations are equally possible to strengthen interdisciplinary synergies and achieve long-term impact.
Selection is ongoing and based on clearly defined criteria: the degree of innovation, the relevance to the target group, the well-founded scientific approach, and – from 2025 – the targeted use of Artificial Intelligence. Special consideration is given to projects that implement preventive measures in early childhood or new therapeutic methods in healthcare. The funding is understood as sponsorship and accompanies initiatives from the concept phase through to implementation. Through this orientation, the foundation effectively supports the improvement of quality of life, access to education, and social participation for young people in challenging life situations.
