Description
The Kloster Bergesche Foundation supports sustainable, non-commercial art and cultural projects as well as the construction and renovation of cultural buildings in Saxony-Anhalt, particularly in the Magdeburg area. The aim of the support is the realization of creative projects in the fields of art, culture & media, buildings and monument preservation, as well as infrastructure & urban development. Eligible to apply are natural and legal persons, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and foundations with residence, headquarters, or verifiable project relevance in Saxony-Anhalt. The minimum funding amount is €1,000, with no ongoing or regular funding granted. Ongoing personnel and administrative costs are excluded from the grant to focus on project-related expenses and investments.
For the application, a fully completed application form, a detailed project description with objectives, a meaningful cost and financing plan, and proof of own contribution must be attached. For construction projects, the owner's consent and a specific proof of fund usage are additionally required; associations must also submit their statutes, extract from the register of associations, and certificate of non-profit status. Photos and justification for premature purchase of materials may be submitted additionally. Applications up to €10,000 should be submitted to the foundation no later than three months before the project start; for higher amounts, six months in advance. Proper management and verifiability of fund usage are prerequisites for approval.
