Funding of the Konstantin Foundation

The funding from the Konstantin Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations in Germany that implement project-based initiatives to strengthen social cohesion and democracy. Since its establishment in 2013, the foundation has pursued charitable and non-profit purposes, dedicating itself to supporting projects that promote the free and full development of personality in sexual, professional, and cultural respects. Particular emphasis is placed on strengthening tolerance towards homosexuality as well as on measures for international understanding, equality, and youth welfare. The target group primarily includes young men and men with a migration background, who often face rejection in their family and social environment and are therefore intended to benefit from the funding.

The initiative supports those endeavors that implement innovative and integrative projects in the areas of children and youth, work and social affairs, as well as social cohesion. Through targeted funding of measures, a contribution is made to promoting an open and diverse society. Applications are handled without bureaucracy, as applicants can contact the foundation informally via email. This approach particularly facilitates access to funding for smaller and specialized organizations and supports a broad variety of ideas and solutions. At the same time, projects implemented abroad are excluded from this funding to maintain a clear regional focus.

With a continuous funding program, the foundation offers sustainable support for projects that contribute in the long term to social inclusion and acceptance. By providing grants, it enables the development and implementation of innovative concepts that not only positively influence the individual life paths of the target persons but also generate significant societal added value. The foundation places special emphasis on supporting projects that strengthen dialogue between different cultural backgrounds and social groups. In doing so, the Konstantin Foundation’s funding actively contributes to realizing a more tolerant, just, and inclusive coexistence.
