Description
The funding program of the State of Tyrol supports municipalities in developing well-founded decision-making bases in the areas of building and monument protection, urban development & urban renewal, as well as infrastructure & urban planning. Funding is provided for the preparation of documents for characteristic buildings, the declaration of protected zones or their modification, as well as accompanying public relations work in accordance with § 2 SOG 2021. Municipalities receive a grant covering 50 percent of eligible costs; financially weak municipalities within the meaning of § 38 para. 3 SOG 2021 can be reimbursed up to 75 percent. Applications can be submitted continuously until the annual funding volume is exhausted, enabling flexible and early planning. The measure contributes to securing the local image in the long term and raising public awareness of projects relevant to monuments and the urban landscape.
All municipalities in the State of Tyrol are eligible for funding. A prerequisite for approval is the existence of a building permit or corresponding authorization according to SOG 2021, a detailed cost calculation, an expert opinion from the advisory board or the municipal representatives on the board, proof of actual payments, as well as confirmation of implementation. Furthermore, other funding options under federal and state legal provisions must have been exhausted. Applications are submitted via the internal form of the Portal Tirol; no deadlines apply as long as budget funds are available. The Department of Building and Spatial Planning Law of the Office of the Tyrolean State Government supports municipalities with technical questions and ensures efficient processing.
