Support for the Culture and Nature Foundation Schloss Türnich

The Culture and Nature Foundation Schloss Türnich continuously offers grants in North Rhine-Westphalia for projects dedicated to the preservation of the historic ensemble Schloss Türnich in accordance with monument protection standards, as well as the establishment of sustainable circular processes. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, companies, interest groups, associations, and individuals who can demonstrate a non-profit status or plan corresponding projects. In the various funding areas – ranging from monument protection, culture, and media to environmental, nature, and climate protection, as well as agrarian culture, energy efficiency, education for sustainable development, vocational training, and commitment to social cohesion and democracy – both cultural events and environmental education and research projects are supported, along with integrative measures and nature conservation initiatives aimed at strengthening local biodiversity. A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a detailed project description including a financing and sustainability plan, as well as, if applicable, proof of non-profit status and qualifications of the project management.

Funding decisions are based on alignment with the foundation’s objectives, innovative sustainability approaches, cost-effectiveness and feasibility, as well as significant public impact. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no fixed deadline. Interested projects should embrace the original intent of the founder to maintain art- and cultural-historically valuable buildings, pond and garden areas, or forest lands of the ensemble, while simultaneously embedding circular principles in the fields of nutrition, health, energy, and society.
