Description

The Lang-Mai Foundation Kleingarten Foundation Frankfurt/Rhein-Main supports intergenerational allotment garden projects in Bavaria and Hesse with a special focus on nature conservation, landscape management, as well as the preservation and development of allotment garden areas. As a non-profit foundation, it supports both allotment garden associations and interest groups, other clubs, and public institutions through one-time grants for infrastructure measures and project-related costs. Continuous funding opportunities are available throughout the year, with projects in the areas of environmental and nature conservation, education for sustainable development, energy efficiency, and climate protection being considered, as well as initiatives for regional development and rural agriculture. The goal is to strengthen a future-oriented, ecologically focused allotment garden system and to sustainably promote biodiversity in the Frankfurt/Rhein-Main metropolitan region.

Eligibility for funding applies to non-profit organizations and municipalities based in the Frankfurt/Rhein-Main region or adjacent areas that wish to implement projects in allotment gardening, nature conservation, or landscape management. Eligible expenses include, for example, the expansion and repair of fences, water pipes, and community facilities, as well as the establishment of traditional orchards or permaculture areas. Applications can be submitted at any time; ongoing review ensures short processing times. Through the foundation’s grants, it becomes possible to implement forward-looking environmental education and conservation projects, strengthen local communities, and sustainably expand green infrastructure. Interested applicants thus receive a reliable financial basis for innovative allotment garden initiatives.
