Funding of the Lange Rode Foundation – Church and Church-Related Projects

The Lange Rode Foundation continuously supports church-related and church-affiliated initiatives in the Hamburg area, focusing on elderly care, youth work, and refugee assistance. In particular, it supports the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Blankenese in its social projects that connect generations and empower people in precarious life situations. As a grant provider, it exclusively targets non-profit organizations and public institutions that shape their work in the spirit of solidarity. Applications can be submitted at any time, enabling sponsors and institutions to receive short-term project-related grants for the implementation of innovative concepts.

Projects are funded that aim to enable active participation for elderly people, provide developmental spaces for children and youth, and open up forward-looking perspectives for refugees—both locally and globally. A prerequisite is affiliation with an Evangelical Lutheran parish or a church-affiliated non-profit organization, as well as a clearly defined project in the fields of elderly care, youth work, or refugee assistance. This funding creates financial scope for initiatives distant from the market and strengthens the resilience of local social networks. Through the continuous awarding of grants, the foundation makes a sustainable contribution to strengthening the common good and promoting future-oriented cooperation between church and civil society.
