Funding of the Lefering Foundation

The Lefering Foundation in Lower Saxony supports projects and initiatives with ongoing grants that are dedicated to assisting children and adolescents who have experienced psychological or emotional abuse. Funding is provided for measures aimed at raising awareness about psychological abuse as well as for prevention and sensitization efforts in schools or community centers. Furthermore, financial aid is allocated to the establishment and operation of counseling centers and "Seelenhorte©" (soul havens), which offer all affected individuals maximum emotional and legal support. Initiatives from private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions can be submitted at any time, with a personal consultation appointment recommended upon prior arrangement.

The funding offer is equally directed at children and adolescents in distressing life situations as well as at groups and initiatives developing tailored tools and support services. The focus is on expanding sustainable structures for the long-term support of victims, perpetrators, and helpers. Additionally, awareness and prevention modules are funded that complement existing offerings and test innovative concepts. Applications can be submitted easily via email or phone; there are no deadlines. Through this initiative, the foundation makes an important contribution to social participation and the protection of young people from invisible forms of violence.
