Description
The LEG NRW Tenant Foundation supports needy tenants of the LEG companies in North Rhine-Westphalia through one-time financial and in-kind benefits as well as personal assistance services (e.g., care and support services) in cases of financial hardship or health-related support needs. Additionally, integration and intercultural projects as well as events in the residential neighborhood are supported, which strengthen intercultural dialogue, cultural tolerance, and international understanding. The offer is directed not only at individuals but also at initiatives, self-help organizations, and non-profit organizations whose measures benefit the general public and promote social cohesion. Applications can be submitted at any time; however, there is no legal entitlement to funding.
Funding is provided for financial benefits (up to €1,000 per person), in-kind resources (e.g., household appliances, medical aids), costs for care and support services, as well as grants for integrative or intercultural projects (up to €10,000 per measure and year). The funding is granted as a 100% subsidy for a project duration of up to 12 months. Prerequisites include a copy of the rental agreement with an LEG company in NRW, proof of financial hardship or need for assistance, and a fully completed application with income statements, cost estimates, and, if applicable, a disability ID or social assistance certificate. Selection is based on urgency, demonstration of need, and integrative benefit. Proper use of funds is monitored by the foundation, and in the case of project funding, there is an obligation to report and to acknowledge the foundation’s involvement in public relations.
