Funding of the Lethmate Foundation

The Lethmate Foundation is committed in Lower Saxony to supporting projects for children and young people who demonstrate exceptional talent and financial need. The focus is on initiatives that combine early musical education, academic learning, and cultural participation. Eligible for funding are private individuals, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, and associations that develop innovative approaches in the fields of training and continuing education as well as culture & media. The foundation places great emphasis on sustainable impact and supports both extracurricular interventions and institutional programs that provide young people access to artistic and social learning environments.

Applications can be submitted at any time and are made online via the application form “Request Project Now.” Funding is provided exclusively in the form of grants; each applicant submits a project outline, a detailed project description, and a financing plan. Selection is based on the Lethmate Foundation’s funding criteria: early musical education, proof of talent and need, and compliance with the statutes. With a clearly structured evaluation process, the board ensures that funds are directed specifically to where they have a positive impact on educational and cultural engagement for young people.
