Description
The Main-Kinzig and Oberhessen Foundation supports non-profit initiatives that are implemented within the business area of VR Bank Main-Kinzig-Büdingen and correspond to the statutory objectives of the Foundation. Projects are funded in the areas of vocational training and further education, education, youth welfare, civic engagement, disaster and civil protection, sports, arts and culture, as well as environmental and climate protection. Projects must be completed within a manageable timeframe and demonstrate initiative, sustainability, and substantive quality. Applicant institutions – including public educational institutions and recognized non-profit organizations – must submit a fully completed funding application, accompanied by a one-page project description, a financing plan, and a copy of the tax exemption certificate. Travel expenses, printing costs, building maintenance, or advertising measures are not eligible for funding.
The decision on project funding is made continuously based on clear evaluation criteria such as efficiency of fund usage, creativity, scalability, and the reputation of the applicants. There is no maximum funding amount; however, preference is given to projects that rely less on large financial resources and more on the commitment of those involved.
