Funding of the Marga Comiotto Foundation

The Marga Comiotto Foundation is committed nationwide in Germany to qualified psycho-oncological and psychosocial support for cancer patients and their relatives. Through financial grants, specialized institutions are established or strengthened that offer a comprehensive range of counseling, therapy, and social support. The foundation’s funding program aims to specifically address the psychological burdens, fears, and social challenges associated with cancer and to anchor individual support services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This creates a care network that connects professional specialists as well as self-help initiatives, thereby opening up new perspectives for coping with the illness for those affected and their families.

Eligible for funding are public institutions and non-profit organizations with a verifiable focus on psycho-oncological or psychosocial care. Applications can be submitted continuously; there is no formal deadline. The Marga Comiotto Foundation grants subsidies for the development of new services as well as for the expansion of existing structures. The funding program targets clinics, counseling centers, and self-help groups that provide patient-oriented support in the areas of psychological stabilization, social reintegration, and support for relatives. Interested institutions will receive a prompt decision on the grant after review of all submitted documents. In this way, the foundation contributes sustainably to the continuous professionalization and expansion of the psychosocial care network for cancer patients in Germany.
