Description

Since the year 2000, the Margarete Schnellecke Foundation has supported social initiatives in the Wolfsburg area with a special focus on elderly care as well as child and youth welfare. Funding is provided to both individuals and non-profit organizations and public institutions that are committed to seniors, children, and young people. The funding program is equally aimed at non-profit sponsors, initiatives, and volunteers who wish to implement creative projects to improve the quality of life for older people or to promote younger generations. With this initiative, the foundation complements public responsibilities and contributes to the sustainable strengthening of social cohesion in the region.

Funding applications can be submitted continuously; the grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy. A prerequisite for consideration is a statutory focus on elderly, child, or youth welfare as well as activity in the Wolfsburg area. A brief written application must include information about the applicant, the purpose of the project, the requested funding amount, and the planned personal contribution. Information on previously submitted or approved funding applications to other bodies must also be provided. The procedure is deliberately kept simple: a formal letter is sufficient; digital submission via email is not accepted. The foundation’s board decides on the allocation after reviewing compliance with the funding objectives and statutory purposes.
